Meraki

The Inspiration
'Meraki' (a Greek word) doesn't have a direct translation into English but is about the idea of doing something with love, passion & creativity and putting your heart into what you create.

This series of vessels with coordinating stoppers/ pendants/ ornaments (photos of more variations coming soon) combine my beading loves of geometric beadwork & sparkle to create something that is more than the sum of its parts.

This follows on from my vessel explorations of some recent Bead Sparks, but with a difference in components & materials as well as the final shapes created.

Skill Level:

  • Intermediate/ advanced
  • Participants must be comfortable with Peyote Stitch, working with small beads and following detailed instructions

Requirements:
A full requirements list for the project will be sent nearer the date (once full payment has been received) but the general requirements are:

  • Size 11 Cylinder beads
  • Size 15 & 11 Miyuki Seed beads
  • 14mm Rivoli
  • 4mm Bicones
  • Flexible beading thread & beading needles
