Water Lilies at Kew

'Memories of Kew' is a joint master class with Stephanie Burnham and Stephanie's component (the jewellery & flower on the Lid of the vessel) is called 'Water Lilies at Kew'.

Combining advanced geometric & floral beadwork, and throwing in shaping, structure & texture, this striking beaded vessel (beaded by Jean) comes with matching jewellery.

We united our two projects ('Garden Days' and 'Water Lilies at Kew') to create a set of beadwork evoking the many lovely days we have spent together at Kew gardens.

The series is formed of a beaded vessel created using unique techniques (all of which will be covered in the class and accompanying videos) topped with a striking beaded water lily which has coordinating jewellery which can be stored in the vessel.

A full requirements list for the project (which uses Peyote & Brick Stitch plus Cubic Right-Angle Weave) will be sent nearer the date (once full payment has been received) but the general requirements are:

  • Size 11 Cylinder beads (110g+)
  • Size 15, 11 & 8 Miyuki seed beads
  • 12mm Rivolis
  • Beading thread & needles
