The Sunburst bracelet is a charming, romantic piece of jewellery that will adorn your wrist with a delicate sparkle and enhance any outfit.

Captured at its heart is a stunning engraved cabochon surrounded by rays of twinkling bicones and supported by intertwined CRAW straps that sparkle delicately with the addition of Swarovski crystals and pearls.

In the class you will learn how to enclose a beautiful cabochon within a sleek closed-back bezel and build interlaced CRAW straps to support the focal piece in a lacy-looking framework.

This is an intermediate level project that uses Cubic Right Angle Weave (CRAW) and Peyote Stitch. It will be helpful for students to have some experience in basic CRAW.

Shona Bevan

Shona is a London based bead designer who loves to create a big impact with tiny beads and makes elegant, wearable jewellery with a focus on beautiful finishing.

Thanks to the support and encouragement of other bead designers Shona applied to teach at the Bead&Button show in Milwaukee and in 2015 began her international bead teaching career, which has so far taken her to Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.

Shona has been published several times in the UK beading magazine "Bead & Jewellery" and her super-sparkly Trellis bracelet is a featured project in the Jean Power book "Beading: Learn It, Love It".
