Basics & Booking
How can I book?
- Please contact us as described here. Spaces will be allocated via a ballot with priority given to anyone who attended Bead Sparks 2024. A waiting-list for cancellations or extra dates will be held so please do register even if full as a space may become available
How do I pay?
- Payment is by bank transfer (if you're in the UK) or using the online service 'Wise' (international payments). Full details will be sent if you get a space
When is the class?
- The Celestial Paradise class will run on 2 different dates: the 17th-19th November 2025 AND the 21st-23rd November 2025 with 3 days of classes each time
Who are the teachers?
- The teachers are Jean Power and Stephanie Burnham
How do I book for the class?
- Simply contact us as described here
How do I book my accommodation?
- Accommodation is optional and you can stay at the venue or another local hotel or B&B and you can see more details on the venue page
How much is the class?
- The cost for the 3 days of classes, plus lunch, tea, coffee etc on each class day is £300.
How much is the accommodation?
If I want to attend the class as a day student what do I need to book?
- You can simply register for the event without booking any accommodation here
Do I arrive on Sunday/ Monday OR Thursday/Friday?
- We will be in Hitchin from the night before each event but you are free to just join us on the first day of your class if you prefer. See our schedule page for more information to help you plan and decide
How do I ensure my place is held?
- When booking you'll be sent the details of how to pay the non-refundable £150 deposit and payment of this within the timescale detailed holds your place.
What happens if the class is cancelled?
- If we have to cancel the event for any reason any monies you have paid us will be refunded.
What happens if I need to cancel?
- If you need to cancel for any reason, and are able to find someone else to take your place, we are more than happy (with your written permission) to transfer any fee you have paid to their booking. Please note however that once the instructions have been sent out then your place is no longer transferable
- We are unable to offer refunds under any circumstances if your place is not filled so we encourage you to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for any unforeseen issues or events that may prevent you from attending
- Please note that instructions are only available to those who have paid the full price
What is included in the £300 cost of the class?
- 3 full days of classes (1.5 days each with each of our teachers (Jean Power and Stephanie Burnham)
- 3 x lunches plus morning and afternoon tea & coffee with snacks etc on each class day
What isn't included in the cost
- Your travel
- Class kits or beading supplies
- Accommodation
- Evening meals or breakfast
Accessibility & Special Considerations
I have accessibility issues can this be catered for?
- The teaching room and venue is limited accessible wise so please contact us or them before booking
I have special diet requirements can these be catered for?
- Hitchin Priory are more than happy to cater for any dietary needs and we will be in touch to ask about this nearer the time

- Each of our teachers is sharing the teaching of the 'Celestial Paradise' project and you can find out more information here
Are there class kits?
- Each class will have a requirements list (sent nearer the time, once the full fee is paid)

Do I need to pack anything special?
- We recommend that you bring a beading light (extension leads will be provided) and any glasses you may need. Also bring a beading mat, needles and thread of choice (any specific class requirements details will be sent to you nearer the time)
Will there be shopping?
- Yes! Each of the teachers will be selling items in their classrooms
