What is a master class?
- A longer class with a highly regarded and expert teacher & designer. The longer class format allows more sharing of ideas & inspiration and is ideal for anyone wanting to stretch themselves and take their beading to another level
When is the master class?
- The Maggie Meister master class is the 22nd-25th November 2023
Who is the teacher at the master class?
- Our teacher is Maggie Meister who is an internationally renowned designer, teacher and author
How do I book for the master class?
- Simply fill out the registration form you can find here
How do I book my accommodation?
- Accommodation at the venue is optional and not included in the cost. Once you book we will let you know about booking accommodation at Hitchin Priory (B&B is £85 a night) but you can choose to stay elsewhere or travel to-and-from class each day
How much is the master class?
- The cost for the 4 days of classes plus lunch, teach & coffee for the 4 days is £380
How much is the accommodation?
- The optional B&B at Hitchin Priory is £85 a night
Do I arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday?
- We will be there from Tuesday evening but you are free to just join us from Wednesday onwards
How do I ensure my place is held?
- When booking you'll be sent the details of how to pay the non-refundable £200 deposit and payment of this by the end of April 2023
What happens if the master class is cancelled?
- If we have to cancel the event for any reason any monies you have paid us will be refunded.
What happens if I need to cancel?
- If you need to cancel for any reason, and are able to find someone else to take your place, we are more than happy (with your written permission) to transfer any fee you have paid to their booking. We will also contact anyone on the waiting-list to try to fill the place
- We are unable to offer refunds under any circumstances if your place is not filled so we encourage you to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for any unforeseen issues or events that may prevent you from attending.
What is included in the £380 cost of the master class?
Accessibility & Special Considerations
I have accessibility issues can this be catered for?
- The venue is less accessible than desired so please do contact us if this will be an issue for you. The classroom and lunchroom etc are all on the ground floor.
I have special diet requirements can these be catered for?
- Hitchin Priory are more than happy to cater for any dietary needs and we will be in touch to ask about this nearer the time
The Class
What project is being taught?
- The master class is less about just one project and more about sharing your inspiration with Maggie and using her designs & knowledge to bead the unique pieces of beadwork you want to make
Are there class kits?
- There will be a requirements list (sent nearer the time, once the full fee is paid)
Accommodation
What does the Hitchin Priory accommodation include?
- Each bedroom has:
- TV
- Hair dryer
- Tea and coffee making facilities
- En-suite bathroom with either a shower or bath & shower
- Towels and toiletries
Miscellaneous
Do I need to pack anything special?
- We recommend that if you think you may need them please bring a beading light (extension leads will be provided) and any glasses you may need. Also bring a beading mat, needles and thread of choice (any specific class requirements details will be sent to you nearer the time)
Will their be any evening events?
- Depending on what the group want we may arrange group dinners either at the venue or local restaurants and we will be in touch about this nearer the time
